Shopping SoLo in Solana Beach

One of my favorite places to shop locally is SoLo in Solana Beach. Located on Cedros Avenue in the heart of the design district, the shop is actually a collective of eight creative women who showcase their wares in one large restored warehouse. There is an incredible array of cool coastal housewares and home decor. It’s one of those places that you want to frequent often because you never know what you might find. Since we live in a townhome, I have to exercise restraint due to limited space, but I can usually find something small and unique to add to our home.

The shop is organized into booths, each with a different feel and each one full of unique finds.

For example, I LOVE these tiny organic sculptural vases. They remind me of ocean creatures. Probably the only reason I haven’t bought one yet is that once I start collecting them I won’t know where to stop! I know that a few will eventually find their way into my home though.

This driftwood decorative bowl above is stunning. I also love the little heart bowls.

There is a large selection of kitchenware crafted in beautiful organic styles. The neutral colors encourage mixing and matching for a collected-over-time look.

There are also hundreds of design books available to purchase if you’re looking for more inspiration or even just a cool coffee table book or two.

If you find yourself in the Solana Beach area be sure to visit South Cedros Ave. It’s known as the design district for North San Diego County. There are dozens of shops, design studios, coffee shops and more. I’m looking forward to sharing some of my other favorite spots along this street in future posts.

If you’d like more info about SoLo you can visit their website here. Happy hunting!
