B2B Weekend Vibes #6

Welcome to B2B Weekend Vibes – a weekly roundup of current goings-on From the Bay to the Beach. Here you’ll find a few of my favorite things, a bit of home decor inspiration, and a peek into my week. Yay – it’s Friday!

A Peek Into My Week

Hello and happy Friday! How are things?

We’ve had an unusually cool summer here in the Bay Area. In fact, this is the coolest summer in San Francisco in over 30 years. It’s been a little weird, even here in the East Bay. I’ll take the cooler weather over super hot temperatures though. My condolences to the poor folks in the midwest who have been roasting! Stay safe!

Bay Area lore commonly attributes this quote to Mark Twain; however, there isn’t proof that he actually said it. It’s still a pretty accurate observation though. You can always spot the tourists in the City because they’re the ones wearing shorts and looking like they’re freezing. Planning a trip to the Bay Area in the summer? Here’s a tip from a NorCal native – pack layers!

Is it Fall Already?

Starbuck’s New Fall Menu and a Recipe

It all of a sudden feels to me like we’re past the tipping point of summer and are now sliding into fall. The cooler-than-normal weather might have something to do with it. The Starbucks PSLs (that’s Pumpkin Spice Lattes to those who don’t know) are being released on August 26th. It’s still July right? (checks calendar)

Although I only stop into Starbucks once in a while, I’m looking forward to trying their new fall menu items: the Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and the Italian Sausage Egg Bites.

If you’re already in the mood for all things pumpkin spice, Starbucks has released a recipe for making your own PSL syrup at home. I may give it a try!

Fall Tablescape Inspiration

Credit: Pottery Barn

Pottery Barn’s new Woodrow Plaid cotton pattern combined with their Fantastical Forest dinnerware collection hits all the right notes for the perfect fall tablescape. The whimsical animal plates and serving pieces are fun and just a little kitschy. I’m looking forward to copying this look in the months ahead, right down to the antler candle holders. I think a fall tablescape post might be incoming. Stay tuned!

Latest Fashion Finds – COACH

COACH North Pebbled Leather Tote

I’ve been looking for a new travel tote for a while, so I decided to take advantage of the Nordstrom Sale before prices go back up. This gorgeous leather COACH tote in the Honey Brown color was almost half off including my Nordstrom notes. I can’t believe it hasn’t sold out yet. It’s going to be perfect for when we travel this fall. I like that it’s large enough that I can easily tuck my purse into it and count it as my personal item when we fly. This style is also available in black.

Another fun fall bag update has been the addition of this pretty chain strap to the COACH Brooklyn 28 I purchased last fall. Bag charms and chains are on-trend right now and this small addition is a fun way to update a classic bag.

Currently Reading – Coffee Table Books

I’ve made some new additions to my ever-growing coffee table book collection. I finally bought two of the Vogue Living books I’ve been wanting for a while: Houses, Gardens, People and Country, City, Coast. Both are compilations of some of the most influential homes and designers of the last few decades, as featured in Vogue magazine. They are both about half off on Amazon right now!
