In this post – a roundup of some of my recent favorite home organization finds for under $25.
Fall is around the corner and with that comes back-to-school and the fall and winter holidays. This is a great time of year to reorganize for the busy months ahead. I’m always looking for ways to make life easier for us – even as we become empty nesters. In this post I’m sharing some of my favorite budget-friendly gadgets to help you stay organized.

Around the Sink
Touchless Soap Pumps
My number one pet peeve is water splashes all around the kitchen and bathroom sinks. I have spent years trying to figure out how to keep the area around the faucets dry (or at least drier.) No matter what I tried, I was still mopping up the counter around the kitchen and bathroom sinks multiple times a day.
I have finally found a solution to this problem. It starts with a touch-less soap pump on the edge of the sink. Now when we reach for the soap, we don’t drip water all over the place. Simple! How I wish we had these when our kids were growing up!

The best part is that you can adjust the amount of soap dispensed, from a little to a lot. It’s perfect next to the kitchen sink when I’m cooking and need to disinfect my hands. No more getting the soap pump dirty because I just place my hand under the pump and voila! Soap! Problem solved!

We have the foaming soap dispenser, but you can also get one that dispenses regular soap too. I bought one of these awesome pumps for both of our homes, white to match our Bay Area kitchen counters and black to match our counters in San Diego.

The pump is also available in a brushed nickel color for more of a modern look. The pump comes with a bracket in case you want to hand it on a wall to save counter space. Plus – it’s rechargeable!

Small Drainage Mat
For even more drip protection, I recommend this small rubber drainage mat. It catches any errant splashes around the soap dispenser and scrub brush holder and drains them back into the sink. I’m finally free of the constant mopping up!

Water Bottle Storage
Another thing that I’ve struggled with over the years, especially when my kids were all playing sports, is how to store water bottles and insulated cups. They seemingly multiplied in our kitchen cabinets overnight! The bottles and cups in the back of the cabinet lived lonely existences because no one could see them, much less access them.
And then I found this! How simple is this solution? Store them on their sides!
These clear stackable water bottle holders are a game changer. No more jumbled cups, lids and straws. And no more bottle avalanches when opening the cabinet doors! You can stack them in different combinations depending on the size of your cabinet and the number of bottles you have.

Label Maker
If there’s one thing I learned from being a classroom teacher, it’s that you should label everything. For me, putting a label on a file, or drawer or box is a way for me to mentally commit to putting things away where they go. It’s also a great way to make your family members more independent. Instead of “Mom! Where’s the…..?” they will know it’s in the labeled box/file/drawer/cabinet etc. where it should be.
Label makers have come a long way since the days of the old spinning wheel embossing label makers – if you know what I’m talking about you’re probably of a certain age. My hand started cramping just looking at this thing.

Old School Label Maker
As it turns out, they still make the old embossing label makers. Who knew? So if you’re into the vintage label look, you can still emboss your heart out. There is something fun about the look and feel of embossed labels.

Tech Savvy Label Maker
As for me, I prefer to type my label and let the label maker work its magic. It’s so easy! This thermal label printer works with an app on my phone. I love having the ability to choose what font I want to use and if I want to include a graphic.

It has over 80 different fonts and 670 icons, so I will likely never run out of ways to label things. It works with any brand of label too.

Cord Organizers
Cord and Cable Clips
I don’t know about you, but I hate having to climb behind my nightstand to retrieve my charging cable every night, or crawl under my desk to find the charging cord for my computer. These genius little gadgets adhere discretely to your furniture to prevent cords and cables from escaping. No more crawling around on my hands and knees trying to fish my cord out from wherever it disappeared to!

I attached 3 of these to the back of my nightstand. They’re great for tucking cords away during the day, and at night I can just pull them out to plug in to my devices.

The other great thing about these is that they rotate, so they won’t hinder you or get tangled up with other cords. Genius!
Cable Hider
I’m a visual person, so just seeing things that are cluttered or messy bugs me. We all have the problem of too many cords and plugs and they can create an eyesore.
I found the cutest solution! This cable management box looks like a regular rattan basket but is actually clever storage for all of the messy surge bars, cables and cords that tend to get jumbled up on a counter or under a desk.

Now instead of looking at a jumble of cords, I see a pretty basket. The best thing is that this will go with pretty much any style of decor, plus it comes in other colors, including black, brown and white.

Remote Controls
Remote Control Caddy
Has anyone seen the remote? Sound familiar? To corral remote controls, of which we have many, I’ve found an attractive and easy-to-use solution. This remote control organizer is a super-functional way to store your remote controls in plain sight. While a pretty lidded box on the coffee table might be one way to to store remotes, the reality is that they will most likely end up being left on the coffee table or couch. With this design, you simply set the remote down in the organizer where you will be able to easily find it next time.

Laundry
If you use liquid laundry detergent and are sick of cleaning up the drips from the spigots, I have a solution for you! These simple attachments will catch all of those slimy drips and also give you a spot to store the cups between washes. I wish these were around back when my kids were small and I was doing endless loads of laundry! I got so tired of wiping up the sticky puddles under the detergent. Now you don’t have to!

Dryer Sheet Dispenser
I’ve discovered over the years that the easiest way for us to do laundry is to have all of the supplies within arms’ reach. This adorable dryer sheet dispenser sits on the counter in our laundry room. It makes grabbing the sheets simple and is way more attractive than the box they came in.

Linen Storage
Bed Sheet Organizers
I have featured these sheet organizers before, and I will continue to shout from the rooftops about them. If you struggle to organize your bedsheets, I highly recommend giving these a try!
We only use white sheets because I like the look of them. However, that creates a problem when I’m looking for the cal king sheet set and I can’t tell them apart from the queen sheet set. Enter these sheet organizers! You simply fold your sheet sets up and zip them in. A small clear window allows you to see what’s inside. Plus, there is a spot for a label! (You know I love a label!)
The best part is that the organizers can be stored vertically like books, so it saves space and makes it easy to find the set you’re looking for. They also keep your sheets clean and fresh by keeping dust and dirt out. These are a game-changer.

Bed Sheet Organizer Bands
If you aren’t into the boxed sheet organizers, you might want to consider these sheet storage bands. They perform the dual functions of organization and labeling.

I hope you found some (or all!) of these suggested gadgets helpful. Do you have a favorite inexpensive organization gadget? Let me know in the comments below!
