Welcome to B2B Weekend Vibes – a weekly roundup of current goings-on From the Bay to the Beach. Here you’ll find a few of my favorite things, a bit of home decor inspiration, and a peek into my week. Yay – it’s Friday!
A Peek Into My Week
Hello and happy Friday! Hope your week was amazing. Cheers!

My husband and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary with an impromptu wine tasting at a local winery we spotted in our area magazine. Turns out it’s really close by!
It was nice to get “away” to the wine country for a couple of hours simply by driving ten minutes. Yet another reason to love California!

In case you’re local, the winery is called Shadowbrook and it’s in Walnut Creek. We ended up joining their wine club, if only for an excuse to enjoy more wine on their beautiful patio again. That, and we of course were “forced” to take some bottles home with us.

Christmas in July
In case you missed it, MaryJo and I did another Styled 2 Ways collaboration this week – Christmas in July. It’s fun to think about the holidays in the middle of summer. I think that’s because I’ve forgotten all of the work that goes into them by the time summer rolls around. All the more reason to plan ahead and work on projects now while I have the time.
Anyways, be sure to check out our Christmas creations. I think we outdid ourselves!

Create a Cozy Outdoor Space
I also shared some easy updates I made to our back deck. Did someone say curtains? No? Well you should because they were super easy to install and add a nice cozy look to our Bay Area deck!
Be sure to check out the post for some of the details on how I made this tiny space one of our favorite places to hang out (and possibly sip some of that wine from Shadowbrook.)

Happiness is Homemade
But wait! There’s more! This week was my first time hosting the Happiness is Homemade link party.
What is that you ask?
Every week, talented people from all over visit to share their awesome ideas with the world. Be sure to stop by if YOU have something to share, be it a DIY, craft, recipe, home decor hack, or any other brilliant idea! OR – come be a looky-loo and be inspired by what you see! All are welcome! Come see what’s happening every Sunday right here on the blog.
This week’s features included some delicious-looking recipes and a homemade hand scrub that I wished I had after cleaning up our yard this week. Good stuff!

Latest Fashion Find
I am loving my new Veronica Beard Valentina Slip-On sneakers from Nordstrom. I’m a fan of the Veronica Beard brand but it’s a little pricey. I was happy to find them on sale. (Not the Anniversary Sale just a “regular” sale.)

At the time I ordered them, there was only one color on sale, which was fine because I like it. (Coconut/Silver if you’re interested.)
Of course now they have six different colors on sale. So if you’re looking for some cute, casual, and comfy shoes for fall, be sure to check them out!
They are super comfortable and stylish. Looking forward to wearing them a lot this fall.
Speaking of which, are you interested in seeing how I style them? Let me know in the comments. I’m curious to know if my readers want to see more fashion featured here on the blog. I will shop for you all if I have to. What can I say? I’m a giver.

Currently Reading
Does it count if the book is sitting on my nightstand but not yet opened? If so, then here’s what I will be currently reading soon – The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley. I enjoyed another of her books The Guest List, so hoping I will like this one too. Have you read any of her other books? I’m always on the lookout for a new read.

Also – have you noticed how some books now have the edges of the pages dyed to match the covers? I love it! I bet it’s a ploy to attract our attention when shopping for books in person. Guess it worked!
The Return of Barnes & Noble #BookTok
By the way, I’m glad to see that Barnes and Noble bookstores have been revived. I love going into bookstores to wander around. (Don’t worry, I patronize independent bookstores too.) There’s something about buying books in person that you just don’t get from buying them online. Am I the only one who likes how books smell?

If you’re interested to find out how Barnes and Noble managed to make a comeback during the pandemic, the CNN.com has a good article about it. It was interesting to learn how the company managed to survive in the age of Amazon. (Have you heard of BookTok?)

Homeworthy – Meg Braff’s New York Home and Gardens
Ok by now you probably know I love watching Homeworthy. I just watched this episode and my jaw dropped. There are homes and then there are HOMES.
Interior Designer Meg Braff has a home on Long Island’s North Shore that has to be seen to be believed. She creates art with fabrics and furnishings like a painter uses oil on canvas. This home is truly stunning.
I couldn’t stop gaping at the huge rooms full of gorgeous antiques and custom upholstered furniture. I can’t even begin to guess how many chairs are in her home!
The tour just kept going and going, with one large room opening into the next, all equally spectacular, colorful and unique.
And then there were the gardens. Multiple gardens, full of perfectly manicured lawns and flower beds brimming with blossoms.
If you don’t want to watch the full episode, although I highly recommend it, you can take a peek at the rooms in this issue of Veranda magazine. Enjoy!
Thanks for being here!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Take care! Yay – it’s Friday!
