Using your napkin ring as a guide, cut a ribbon long enough to completely circle the ring. Repeat for as many napkin rings as you want to make. I made 8 rings, so I cut 8 wide ribbons to cover the rings and 8 narrow ribbons as an accent. (You will notice that I changed my mind on the narrow ribbon style later in the project. That’s what you get with a figure-it-out-as-you-go crafter like me!)

Step 2: Glue wide ribbons to rings

Add a generous amount of hot glue to the back of each wide ribbon. Then set a napkin ring on one end of it and carefully roll it down the length of the ribbon. This will hopefully keep you from burning your fingers! Also- since the rings I used are metal, the glue would cool too quickly if I tried to put the glue directly on them instead.

Step 3: Add the narrow ribbon

I used the same technique to glue on the narrow ribbons. I tried to line up the end seams with the wider ribbon. Some of them aren’t perfectly straight, but I got better with practice.

Step 4: Add the hearts

I love these little felt stitched hearts I found at Michael’s. I decided to go with the red ones to match my napkin rings and coordinate with the narrow ribbon. Using a large drop of glue, I adhered them to the seam where the ribbons meet

Step 5: Enjoy!

I love how these turned out and they were super simple to make. I’m looking forward to using them on my Valentine’s Day tablescape!
